The Vaish Cooperative Adarsh Bank Ltd began its journey as a small thrift and credit society in 1936, founded by Late Sh. G.S. Bansal, Late Sh. Pool Chand Jain, and Late Sh. Khayali Ram to fulfill the financial needs of the people and uplift their economic status. The dedication, sincerity, and honesty of the society’s founders resulted in the T.C. Society becoming Delhi’s first Cooperative Bank, permitted by the RBI to carry out banking business in 1964. In 1984, the RBI granted a license to The Vaish Cooperative Bank Ltd. Subsequently, the process of granting licenses to open branches commenced, and the bank gradually opened 11 branches one by one. Out of these 11 branches, six, namely Darya Ganj, Karol Bagh, Azadpur, East of Kailash, Gandhi Nagar, and Rohini, are housed in their own premises.

The bank’s Head Office, Centralized Clearing and Operations, IT, and Recovery departments are also located in our own building at Darya Ganj, New Delhi. The bank was adjudged the best-performing cooperative bank for the financial year 2004-05 by the Delhi State Cooperative Union Ltd. and the Cooperative Department of the Delhi Government. A shield was presented to the bank by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit.
