Due diligence enables the bank to understand their customers and their financial dealings to be able to serve them better and prudently.

Account of Individual

Legal Name Proof

  • Passport / PAN Card
  • Voter’s Identity Card
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Aadhaar Letter (UIDAI)
  • ID card (Central/State Govt/PSU)
  • Pension Payment Orders
  • Bonafide Student ID (UGC/AICTE approved)
  • Bar Council/Medical Council/ICAI/ICSI Card
  • Defence Dependent’s / Ex-Servicemen Card
  • Arms License (Govt of India)
  • Registered Property document with photo
  • Disability ID Card / NREGA Job Card

Address Proof

  • Utility Bills (Elec/Water) - < 3 months old
  • Bank Account / Credit Card Statement
  • Letter from Employer (PSU/Recognized Corp)
  • Voter ID (if current address is present)
  • Registered Sale Deed / Lease / Rent Agreement
  • Hostel Warden Certificate (for students)
  • Post-paid Mobile/Telephone bills (< 2 months)
  • Consumer Gas Connection Book/Bill
  • Property Tax Receipt
  • Relatve's address proof (with declaration)

Important Notes:

1. Aadhaar is valid for both identity & address if the current address matches.
2. Close relatives (Spouse/Parents/Children) can use relative's bills with a stay declaration.
3. Correspondence address can be verified via positive confirmation (visits/calls) if different from permanent.

Accounts of Proprietorship Concerns

Required Documents (Any Two)

  • Registration Certificate
  • Shop & Establishment Act License
  • VAT/Service Tax/Professional Tax Registration
  • License issued by Registering Authority (ICAI, IMC, etc.)
  • Sales and Income Tax Returns
  • Complete ITR in Name of Sole Proprietor (reflecting firm's income)
  • Utility bills in the name of the Proprietary concern
  • Copy of PAN card

  • Incorporation documents (RoC)
  • Registration Certificate / Partnership Deed
  • LLP Agreement (or Schedule I of LLP Act)
  • Power of Attorney (for operators)
  • Firm's Utility bills & PAN Card

  • Certificate of Registration
  • Trust Deed / Bye Laws
  • Resolution passed by Managing Body
  • List of Trustees/Beneficiaries & addresses
  • Copy of PAN Card & Telephone bill
